Join us in celebrating and supporting four Somali-Bantu farm families who will start the growing season on their new co-operative farm in Lewiston.
Since there is nothing on the land yet, and community help is needed in many ways,Slow Money Maine is organizing a Digging In community drive for farm supplies, used or new, for Seynab Ali, Jabril Abdi, Mohamed Abukar and Batula Ismail of New Roots Cooperative Farm. The attached “wish list” offers many ideas and we’ve arranged for drop off points in different parts of the state.
